I really love these skintones and I want them in my game, but they are only available in a geneticized version and I don't want that, because they would randomly pop up everywhere!

My question now is: Can you de-geneticize skintones? And if it's possible, how?

The simple answer is "yes, just change the genetic value to 0".

The slightly longer answer is:

1. Put the skintones in your Downloads folder, extract them using Bodyshop and import them straight in, which will give you a clone of the skintone with a new GUID. But you lose some details due to the exporting and re-importing.

OR

2. Open the skintone in SimPE. In the Resource Tree click on Skin Tone XML, then on the line in the Resource List (it will say Light, Dark, Medium, etc). This should make new information pop up in your CPF Editor down the bottom. Make sure you have Plugin View selected on the bottom tabs. Click on genetic (dtSingle) and in the box on the right hand side change the value to 0. Click Commit. Save.

This edits the skintone so you cannot have the geneticised copy in your game at the same time, unlike if you went with option 1.

My Sims have been acting weird lately and I'm not sure what it is. I've gone around and asked a few specialized individuals. The answer I got was Free Will.

I don't like it. How can I destroy this Free Will? And will destroying it crush their Pixilish souls?

I don't understand. What have your sims been doing and how is turning off free will supposed to fix it? If they're doing weird stuff something strange could be going on and you might have a hack conflict or something.

You turn off free will per house when you press F5 (Options) and then go into the cogs icons. Should be right at the bottom. Cannot be turned off per hood, only per household.

A lot of my CC doesn't show up in the YA-section. Why is that? If I open, for example, a piece of clothing in the Wardrobe Wrangler the YA-box is checked.

Found the problem. I was using an old version of the Wardrobe Wrangler and when I townified a piece of CC the YA-option was being disabled.

How can I make teen NPCs? Or just single teen families? I want to make partners for the teens in my neighbourhood without making parents all the time.

Make some teens in CAS, then age them up to adults so they don't need a family. Put them in a lot and age them back down using testingcheats or the agesims cheat. You can change their clothes if they didn't revert to the ones you picked in CAS (I don't remember), then make them townies using Inge's Teleporter Plus.
